A man is behind bars on felony drug charges after police say he led police on a pursuit and crashed into a Sioux Falls home.
Police say 29-year-old Ousman Dibba of Sioux Falls was arrested on a number of different charges including aggravated eluding, hit and run, possession of 1 to 10 pounds of marijuana and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
Police say officers were asked by the Sioux Falls Area Drug Task Force to keep an eye on a vehicle Dibba was driving at around 7 o’clock Sunday night. When the car left an address on east 6th Street at around 8:30 p.m., the officer tried to pull over the vehicle but Dibba accelerated. The officer eventually lost sight of the vehicle.
Dibba was located after he allegedly crashed the vehicle into a porch of a home on the 900 block of north Blauvelt Avenue. Dibba fled but was later caught.
Police say he tossed a backpack in the neighborhood with 3.2 pounds of marijuana inside. No one was injured in the crash.
