SPRING VALLEY —
Three people were arrested during a raid on an illegal marijuana dispensary in Spring Valley, county authorities said Friday.
Detectives with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant around 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the dispensary located at 9966 Dolores St. in Spring Valley, according to a news release from the department. They seized 3.5 pounds of processed marijuana, 61 pounds of Tetrahydrocannabinol-infused edibles and 38 pounds of THC vape products and concentrated marijuana, along with a little over $1,200 in cash.
Some of the edibles that were seized were packaged to look like familiar brands of candy, the release said.
“THC-infused food products closely resembling well-known name brands may be inadvertently consumed, creating potential health and safety risks,” the department said in the news release.
The case was sent to the District Attorney’s Office, which will consider possible charges against the three people who were taken into custody.
