A medical marijuana company opened its second dispensary in New Jersey this week, marking the 14th in the state.
Rise, which opened a dispensary in Paterson in late 2019, announced it has opened the doors of a second location in Paramus on Route 4 West.
“We are honored to open Rise Paramus, which will benefit the thousands of registered medical cannabis patients in Bergen County with its geographical proximity and high-quality products for which Rise is known,” Ben Kovler, founder of and chief executive of Green Thumb Industries, said in a statement.
The dispensary will allow patients to make reservations online and pick up in-store.
Another medical marijuana company, TerrAscend, announced Thursday it had received its permit to process cannabis.
The company began growing cannabis at its Boonton Township facility in December. The processing permit allows it to make vaporizables, concentrates, topicals, tinctures and edibles. Not all medical marijuana companies in New Jersey have labs that can make a full range of products.
